AGENT OF CHANGE

The pursuit of science studies is often likened to entering a professional learning community, which I take as a personal call to make high quality education accessible to all who desire to learn and excel.  I am acutely aware of the critical issues facing higher education, including the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion work.  As such, my academic leadership commits to collaborating with all stakeholders critical to the progress of higher education; preparing students well with appropriate career, workforce, and real-world competencies is an imperative. As a forward-thinking academic scientist and dedicated educator with extensive experience conducting cutting-edge research, innovative teaching, and implementing diversity and inclusion efforts in academia, my focus is on building capacity in higher education and positively impacting the next generation.
